Dr Jane Benn MB BS – General Practice
With more than 40 years of experience in general practice, Dr Jane Benn has built a private GP service that’s grounded in clinical excellence, personal connection and compassionate care. As founder and principal GP at Dr Jane Benn & Associates, she leads a dedicated practice focused on giving individuals and families the time they need to explain their concerns and feel heard.
After qualifying in medicine at the University of London in 1978, Dr Benn worked across hospitals, community clinics and health screening services before entering NHS general practice in 1983. Just a year later, she opened her own consulting room at home. This move was driven by a desire to offer patients not only expert medical advice, but also continuity of care and the time and space they needed.
Over the decades, the practice has grown to meet the needs of the community, offering a full private GP service including same-day appointments, home visits, health screening, and diagnostic testing. Every patient is welcomed with warmth and treated with the kind of personal attention that’s all too rare in modern healthcare.
Known for her calm, approachable manner, Dr Benn believes in shared decision-making and in helping patients feel confident about their choices. Her long-standing relationships with patients – many of whom have seen her for decades – are a testament to the trust she builds and the consistency of care she delivers.
Dr Benn is also a member of the Independent Doctors Federation, and the Jewish Medical Association.
Dr Mary Sheryll Salazar-SalviaBSc MD MPH
Dr Salvia is a dedicated and compassionate private general practitioner with more than 20 years of medical experience and a strong foundation in family medicine, public health and hospital medicine. She was a trusted private GP in the Stanmore area at Dr Jane Benn and Associates for many years, providing high quality, personalised care to patients of all ages.
Having originally trained as a Doctor of Medicine in the Philippines in 2003, Dr Salvia later completed a Master’s in Public Health (Tropical Health) at the University of Queensland in Australia. Her diverse, international background and broad clinical training across the UK, Australia and the Philippines have helped her become a well-rounded and culturally sensitive clinician.
With several special interests, including preventive medicine, paediatrics, women's health and chronic disease management for conditions such as hypertension and heart failure, Dr Salvia is known for her holistic and empathetic approach. She blends clinical excellence with a deeper understanding of her patients’ long-term wellbeing, building lasting relationships that support your health at every stage of life.
Her medical career spans roles in general practice, paediatrics, general medicine, geriatrics and psychiatry, equipping her with an effective breadth of clinical knowledge.
Dr Salvia continues to pursue ongoing professional development and remains committed to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care.
